Rare Vintage GPO Post Office Wicker Trolley All Original Super Condition
Rare opportunity to acquire a piece of British GPO history. These very big strong wicker postal trolleys crop up from time to time but rarely in such good original and un restored condition as this one. It is totally original and undamaged. The heavy weight woven wicker basket is reinforced with Vellum on the top edge and corners then mounted on a heavy timber chassis, secured with Bolts and steel plates and finished with 4 rubber trimmed iron wheels, two middle wheels fixed and the two end wheels on swivels to offer a high level of maneuverability. There is a stenciled date on the base 1967 but my research suggest they were in use anywhere between 1920's and 1970's.
Ideal as a unique interior design piece or prop for a commercial display, if you have the space just as a toy box, blanket store and so on. Height from floor 36.5. Will fit in a good sized estate/hatch back car.Any questions feel free to ask. Viewing by arrangement in NR16 Nr Attleborough Norfolk.
