Antique & Rare Samuel Mitchell & Co German Steel 7 Brass Back Dovetail Hand Saw
A superb open pistol handled dovetailing saw, maker mark of Samuel Mitchell & Co - German steel, mis-stamped at the foot of the brass back section. Early-19th century manufacture, circa 1820. Brass backed, 11 TPI, 18cm 7 blade and nice beech handle. Some light pitting to the blade but generally good and clean, no missing teeth. Slight kink 1/4 length down the blade from the front.
